The area around il Ronco has an amazing amount of children's activities for all ages within easy reach. Some of our favourites are below - from safe play places for the little ones to go karting for older children and teens. There's something in the area for everyone!
Our guests often find it hard to leave il Ronco as the eco- swimming pool is so relaxing and convenient. Parents also love to lounge by the eco-pool.
Do try to tear yourself away, if only for the sake of the children!
CASTELLO DI VEZIO
Visit the tower and vaults that date back to medieval times with its ancient fortress surrounded by olive groves and a Birds of Prey breeding centre.
There are daily exhibitions and demonstrations. For grown-ups, it's a lovely walk with stunning views.
LEOLANDIA
With six themed areas and 40 attractions aimed at children of all ages, Leolandia is especially designed for children. There are exciting shows and rides as well as excellent baby care areas.
Leolandia also features an educational farm with many rare and endangered species.
SWISSMINIATUR
An amazing mini-Switzerland park where you can see all the famous sights of Switzerland in one place and in miniature. With rides, amusements and miniature train rides around the park, Swissminiatur is a great day out
There is a restaurant on site and a nearby grassy area that's perfect for play and picnics.
CALIFORNIA AQUAPARK
With a 25m wave pool, hydro-jets and waterfalls, two toboggans and a floating path, California Aquapark has something for everyone. Adults can relax in the Wellness Oasis with saunas, sunbeds and a Turkish bath.
There's also a Gym with over 70 fitness machines and various classes.

JUNGLE RAIDER PARK
A crazy and fantastic tree-top adventure park in the forest of Civenna. The park is filled with obstacles courses amongst the trees; from logs to gangways and bridges that connect from tree to tree. Suitable for all ages, although smaller children may need to be accompanied on some paths.
PARCO DELLA PREISTORIA
A prehistory park immersed in natural area of centuries-old forest. Along its shaded paths, you'll find lakes and 50 life-size dinosaur reconstructions from 31 different species as well as a 1000sqm hedge maze to get lost in.
You'll also find a botanical path, a paleontological museum, picnic areas and playgrounds. Children of all ages absolutely love this place!
LIDO DI MENAGGIO
The Lido di Mennagio is a real gem situated near the main piazza in Mennaggio. It features two swimming pools, including one for toddlers, a sandy beach, three restaurants, kids’ activities, volleyball and its own brewery
It's reasonably priced and great value for a good day out. Ample parking is available nearby and there are changing facilities onsite.
CRAZY GOLF MENAGGIO
Located near the Lido in Menaggio, boasts a daft but amusing crazy golf course next to one of the most stunning promenades on Lake Como.
The site is well organised and it's a high-quality course and, of course, has stunning views over the lake. Also, along the lakefront, you'll find boat and kayak hire as well as small speed boats.
KART & GO
Kart & Go is an indoor go-karting circuit featuring lots of twists and turns. There is a separate track for children aged 6 to about 8 (depending on height).
The venue is well organised and has great pre-race tutoring, organised races and many opportunities for budding drivers to emulate the Italian Job on a real Italian race circuit. Helmets and racing jumpsuits are supplied.
CORNELLE ZOO
A zoo and amusement park with 100 species of birds, mammals and reptiles to experience. This is the place for animal lovers! View a variety of cuddly cats and scary reptiles ranging from the white tiger to the alligators of the Mississippi River.
There is a restaurant and café on site and a great picnic area.
CASTELLO DI BRENO
The castle of Breno features a maze of buildings constructed over the centuries, giving it the feel of many different ages. Perched on top of a hill, its position and views are really very special. This 'castle' is full of history going back to the time of Federico Barbarossa (1100-1200).
You can reach the castle with a short walk (about 15 minutes) from the centre of Breno.
