LA PINETINA GOLF CLUB (3km)
180 acres of greenery deep in the heart of the Park Pineta of Appiano Gentile and Tradate, a forest of pine, birch, oak and chestnut trees, far from roads, noise and daily stress. Here, on 18 splendid holes, you can listen to nature, observe the flight of hawks and wild ducks and spot the leaps and bounds of wild hares.
The course follows an undulated terrain with a variety of play situations, whilst offering magical views of Mount Rosa, the Lombardy Prealps and, on clear days, the Apennines
MONTICELLO (8.6km)
Monticello with its two international courses of 18 holes, is one of the most important and prestigious Clubs in Italy.
The first-class modern and spacious clubhouse boasts two restaurants, serving excellent Italian cuisine with terraces overlooking the greens and the pool.
Swimming pools, clubs for children and teens and five tennis courts make for a special meeting place where members and guests always feel 'at home'.
CIRCOLO VILLA D'ESTE (18.2km)
The course of Villa d'Este Golf Club was built in 1926 on the Como hills, dominating the lake of Montorfano and in the suggestive and romantic perimeter of more than 30,000 pine, chestnut and birch trees.
In the 'Gold Book' of the club there are prestigious signatures, like King Leopold of Belgium and Queen Liliane De Retby, their son Baldovino, Edward of England, Alfonso XIII of Spain, Constantino of Greece as well as Clark Gable and Bing Crosby.
GOLD CLUB CARIMATE (18km)
Golf Club Carimate was created in 1962 together with the construction of residential housing, as even at that time, the novel prospect of living in the verdant golf greens was deemed attractive to home buyers.
Today Carimate is taken as a prime example for any real estate project by developers interested in putting environmental respect as a prime concern when planning golf estates.
MENAGGIO & CADENABBIA (51km)
The par 70 of the Menaggio and Cadenabbia Golf Club says something of the course, while short by modern standards it requires precision and careful thought.
A hidden jewel of Menaggio's is its library. Found in a corner of the main lounge and housed in glass-enclosed shelves and contains a compendium of golf. Menaggio and Cadenabbia Golf Club's library is widely considered to be one of the foremost collections of golf publications in the world.
